Sr. Software Engineer December 2007-Present Telecommute from Wichita, KS. Technical lead on integration of outsourced customer service front-end to in-house web service based middle-tier. Lead small internal team of developers on middle-tier enhancements and collaborate with outsourcing firms to move projects towards completion. Provide technical guidance during feasibility studies and requirements gathering processes. Research, document and explain new technologies to improve internal processes and frameworks. Collaborate with systems administrators and DBAs to enhance and expand the systems infrastructure supporting the middle-tier framework and processes. Analyze data reported by performance metric functionality in the middle-tier to focus efforts on tuning application performance. Mentor junior developers on new and existing technologies. Software Engineer September 2005-December 2007 Worked with a team of members from multiple disciplines to produce intranet web applications. Assumed role of managing Subversion repository and developing a migration workflow that uses Subversion and Trac to track changes from development to production and allows for tracking of hand-offs from Development to QA and QA to IT Support. Developed applications using HTML, JavaScript and Ajax methods. Mentored development staff on emerging tools and trends. Designed an extensible, self-documenting, resource-oriented web service architecture focused on providing data through a RESTful XML API. Designed a lightweight business rule engine module for the XML API that allowed arbitrarily complex business rules to be specified using simple rules specified using XSL documents. Designed a lightweight application performance reporting module for the XML API that allowed development and QA staff to test application performance characteristics and automated processes to track long-term application performance and provide alerts about abnormal changes. Designed a suite of interoperability tools and classes for allowing in-house Windows forms and web applications to interact and share classes and forms. -

Designed and implemented custom web applications for Intranet, Internet and suppliers using Java, PHP, MySQL, Oracle, HTML, XML, XSLT, CSS, Javascript, SAP Portal and SeeBeyond ICAN 5. Designed and implemented an IIS ISAPI Filter written in C that would take information from a RSA SecurID login and use it to log the user into a 3rd party application that could not be altered to meet the design requirements of an international supplier access project. IT Support Specialist August 2002-April 2003 Proposed, co-designed and helped implement a PKI infrastructure, including servers and applications, in order to support a supplier access website that was in jeopardy due to corporate IT Security restrictions. Became a Raytheon Six Sigma Qualified Specialist. Organized the Intranet systems and processes so that an upgrade to the content management framework could take place. Managed and performed routine maintenance requests for the company's Internet and Intranet sites. Intern June 2002-August 2002 Coordinated new requests for Intranet work. Developed Intranet sites for various business units and organizations using HTML, Java Servlets, JSPs, MySQL and Javascript. Interacted with and trained Intranet content managers in order to maintain an up-to-date Intranet site. Created a content management framework using a MVC (Model/View/Controller) design with Java Servlets, Java Beans, JSPs and Struts. -
